“Gunnison County, largely thanks to the ICELab, is on track to be a national leader as a thriving rural innovation hub built from the ground up,” Jamie Finney, Startup Colorado Regional Director.
ICELab @Western is a business and innovation center with a keen interest in mountain town sustainability and economic diversity in rural Western Colorado. As an entrepreneurial hub, it supports new and growing businesses with cowork space, affordable office space, professional development, and a diverse network of mentors, programs, and opportunities.
Based in the center of campus at Western Colorado University, the ICELab bridges community assets, from the energy of the students and residents to the growing businesses and government stakeholders throughout the Western Slope. It is a neutral space for the exploration of what is possible from the birth of ideas to the painstaking ride of those who tow the line for them.
There are numerous ways to engage with the ICELab, from ice cream and cocktails to cowork space and jumping all in as an investor, mentor, or company with growth on the horizon.
Aside from ongoing events and seminars, here are a few of the amenities available, within the 16,000 square foot facility:
The ICELab offers a wide variety of programming for businesses in various stages of growth. If you’re just getting started, the Small Business Development Center can get you on your feet. If you’re looking to grow, more opportunities to engage with programming and expertise are available.
